Abstract

The purposes of this research is to determine about the effect of using Quizizz learning media on the English learning outcomes of Darul Ma’arif Jakarta Junior High School students. The amount of population in this study is 101 students, and the sample on this research is 20 students on IX grade. This type of research is experimental quantitative research using the one group pre-test post-test methods. The research instrument used is an identical pre-test and post-test questions. The pre-test result gain mean 55,85, median 56,67, modus 58,3, variance 105,61, and standard deviation 10,28. The post-test result gain mean 81,1, median 83,5, modus 86, variance 103,67, and standard deviation 10,18. Based on the results of the analysis, a t-count of 4,164 and t-table of 1,729 at a significance level α = 0,05 are obtained. Thus, the t-count is greater that the t-table (4,164 > 1,729). These results indicate the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H1). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using Quizizz learning media on the English learning outcomes of Darul Ma’arif Jakarta Junior High School students.
